Re: The Official Andreas Seppi Cheering Thread

Will upload the speech tomorrow, well deserved win for the Seppi.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: The Official Andreas Seppi Cheering Thread

Congratulations Seppi on winning first ATP title! I've always liked him, his disposition and am really happy for him that he's finally got the results that he deserves. I wish him a great run at Wimbledon and good luck for the rest of the season.

Re: The Official Andreas Seppi Cheering Thread

He can realistically go past the first 2 rounds, even though he will need to work hard for both. Montanes isnt good on grass though so he should really fancy his chances for R1 today

Re: The Official Andreas Seppi Cheering Thread

He beat Montanes comfortably 64 64 75. Was 53 in the 3rd, but came back to win which shows his form is now very good. Hopefully if he wins in the next round he will be challenging the top 30 for sure and maybe hit a new best ranking soon. Baghdatis will be tough, but at the moment Seppi should be confident.

Re: The Official Andreas Seppi Cheering Thread

Amazing run in Eastbourne from Andy. So happy he got his first title. Compared to some others who have titles it was about time he got one too.

Shame he lost today but still got men's doubles (w/Vagnozzi) and he will make his mixed debut playing with Brianti. Hopefully he can get some wins and last into the second week.

Juan-Carlos Ferrero. Thomaz Bellucci. Andreas Seppi. Lisa Raymond. Marion Bartoli.
Davydenko. Tecau. Melzer. Peschke. Azarenka. Robredo. Kubot.

Interesting. :jealous:

I don't know much about Brianti, I'll check her out now.

Re: The Official Andreas Seppi Cheering Thread

Yes a very good grass court season in the end for Seppi and now he can enjoy the doubles whatever happens. The loss to Baggy was a little unlucky too all the sets could have gone a different way.

Re: The Official Andreas Seppi Cheering Thread

I saw him lose his men's doubles yesterday. It was a shame as they had their chances in the first.

Anyway, he and Brianti just won an epic match on Court 1 over Keothavong/Marray 3-6 6-4 8-6. Next up Benesova/Melzer.

Juan-Carlos Ferrero. Thomaz Bellucci. Andreas Seppi. Lisa Raymond. Marion Bartoli.
Davydenko. Tecau. Melzer. Peschke. Azarenka. Robredo. Kubot.

Re: The Official Andreas Seppi Cheering Thread

Andreas is 3-3 since Wimbledon on clay, winning two matches in Umag and winning today 6-2 6-2 over Istomin in Kitzbuhel in a well-played match.

He won this event last year as a challenger and now it's an ATP event, so he will have positive memories. He plays Riba in R2, so a good opportunity for a QF.

Re: The Official Andreas Seppi Cheering Thread

Andy won 7-5 6-4 over Riba and plays Lopez or Haase in the QF. Has done what was expected but it gets much tougher from here.

Re: The Official Andreas Seppi Cheering Thread

Seppi is back at home in Kaltern recovering. Still not sure if he is going to play US Open.

Good title for Seppi in Mons winning over Benneteau again. Naturally he couldn't serve out the match, but too solid in the TB.

Hope he can just get through the rest of the season without problems.
