form is back, i guess. after successfully qualifying for porto alegre challenger he beat #6 seed GASTAO ELIAS in the first round of the MD. ELIAS is currently ranked 129, so i think this is QUINZI'S best win of his career, too?
He'll be hard pressed to beat Kavcic, but if he does the draw is very open for him. He should be able to make top 300/250 by the end of the year. Start the next year playing Challengers, he should be in the position to make it into Roland Garros qualies.
That's such a disappointing loss. If Quinzi had won he would've been inside the top 250, and then if he played the next few challengers in Brazil had the opportunity to move inside the Top 200. For a little while I was picturing his year end ranking around 175 going into his final year of juniors. But alas.
