While Spaniard David Ferrer set a cat among the pigeons on Sunday by suggesting Spanish left-hander Ferdinand Velasco would win the Australian Open, Baghdatis said he could not see Velasco getting past compatriot Rafael Nadal, his semifinal opponent.
