He played very well... Very agressive tennis. Maybe a little too many UE's but a good win vs Moya

Now Fed... At least we don't have to worry about it being on tv

Can you translate? I am MUCH better reading French than hearing it.

I'm on it !

here it is...

Federer : "It's really rare, that i don't know a player, at all... even the qualifiers i usually have time to watch them play in the first round, or elsewhere... for example Korolev i saw him play against Santoro, in Roland Garros... he was completely lost (ahah).. poor him ... he's not the only one though, it happens a lot, Ferrero today was also lost ... so yeah i saw him play that time, it's really interesting to watch him face Santoro, who is a good competitor !"

Laure, I don't know if you saw the match, but all I can say about his performance is that it was 20% and 80% and a

It was REALLY bad.

He also hit like 3 times more errors. That's the only thing I take from this

Re: Get your flags, banners and pom poms ready!!! (The Cheering Thread)

I saw ... I was cheering like hell in the second set ....

It was... it was really much like him : really good, and really bad !!!
I was blown away by ALL of the winners he hit (one more than Fed) ! That was insane ! At some point even Roger seemed to be like 'wow' !!
Problem is, (as u said) wtf with the 44 unforced errors ??! i mean, seriously most of them ... ??????
And the first serve... God, will that ever be fixed for good ?! yeah it's better, but it's not as good as it used to be (i'm talking percentage here)... and with Zhenya there's no secret : first serve = point !!!

Plus, he managed to make me crazy mad in only one game !!! The last one ... WTF ??!!! How could he throw down the match like that ?!
And even considering all of this, i can't help but being proud of him in some way ...
i guess i just like him too much...

Well, can't say I expected him to win, but I expected a little more than this Too bad he made so many errors.

I was proud of him. He showed his potential. He didn't get bageled and he even broke Fed's serve one. They were interviewing Marat during the match and he said that Evgeny could be top 20 if he had a coach and the right people around him. Why doesn't he tell him that? His father can only take him so far.
