Re: Evgueni KOROLEV - future of Russian tennis

Grats to Zhenya seemed like a tough match. I'm glad he's continuing his good form.

So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.

nice win for korolev!
at least there's something to cheer about after safin's loss.

Marat: Last question: what do you think of me? Dinara: You are my god! When you play, I love
to see you. When you lose, I am even sadder than when it is me. When you are wounded, I suffer.
When you speak to me, I drink your words. When you come to see me playing, I am with the angels.

Not a good scoreline. Zhenya still has a lot of work to do.

But before he left to play soccer with Safin and a few other Russians, he did look back on the incident that's increasingly looking the beginning of the end for round robin.

It was a night he’ll never forget, said Korolev – dealing with the round-robin fiasco, and also learning that he’d become an uncle for the first time. In fact, he’s now half-hoping he won’t be selected for the next Russian Davis Cup tie so he has time to go see his nephew after Miami.

GL is always up on the latest gossip. Thanks for the info. Evgeni had a good tournament in Indian Wells. I hope he can build on it.

No No No No

Nole must have been on fire cause the scoreline is pretty bad.

At least he lost to a quality player and now he'll have some rest for Miami.

Re: Evgueni KOROLEV - future of Russian tennis

Honestly the second set seemed strange to me... the way it went...
not that I don't believe Nole played a great match, I'm sur he did ... but it felt like Zhenya was quitting the fight a bit in the last three games and that's so unlike him...
