A 32 person draw does not take long. Just have to copy and paste the draws into Excel, once a day go through all the draws submitted and throws the points in there, and transfer the results back here.

Maybe 30 minutes the first day, 20 minutes a day after.

you have to input point for each pick or there's something as input all the results and then it compares with player's picks?

As far as I know, you need to go through each person's picks to do it, but it does add up the scores for each person automatically and send it to a separate standings page, which you just need to sort.

Re: 2009 FITD Management Thread

Yeah, that's how I do it with the Excel sheet I made. I just go through all the draws and give the points for each pick, it is a bit of a hassle but I'm not that good with Excel so I'm not sure how to make a spreadsheet that's easier to use. It doesn't take long anyways, like jcreback, it takes about 15-20 mins a day max for me.

I'm pretty sure Snoo Foo has a different (and probably better) Excel sheet than I do.

Your Excel sheet is great, Daniel, I'm very happy to use it.

Re: 2009 FITD Management Thread

FOr FITD, I post everyone's picks in one spreadsheet and use Find and Replace (CTRL + F) to search for a player's name and replace it with the correct points (i.e. 0 for every time someone put Murray in Dubai) It's much much quicker. You can select an area then use find and replace with say 20 points for a first round, and not replace ALL the names as it'll just do it in that area you have selected. Takes 20-30 minutes for copy/pasting on day 1, but using find and replace means it's a 3 minute job to update and a minute or two to post the scores if you attach a picture via imageshack or something rather than copy the scores straight in.

Anyway, the players names and automatically copied and the scores too. Snoo Foo sent me his sheet originally and I can do the same if anyone likes? But it isn't that hard to make up, it's just knowing how to use it/customise it for you

2010-2014 *Tumbleweed*

Titles 2009 FITD - Vina Del Mar; PAW - Johannesburg; TT Doubles - Besancon CH (w/Mincheff)
Titles 2008 FITD - Rome Masters

This works, except a lot of people spell player's names wrong, so you still have to go through and check it all out.

Or they spell them correctly, like Söderling or Schüttler . (I used to do that, until I realised that I lost points somewhere because whoever was running that event just searched for Soderling and Schuettler ... Now I know better.) I check spellings when I first copy people's picks, so after that it's all correct (or at least wrong in only one way) and daily updates really don't take much time at all any more.

Btw - I'd be up for managing a tournament again, like Munich. No one's "claimed" that yet, right?
