Re: Brazil vs Canada

Canada would win if this was HC or Carpet, but its Clay so most likley Brasil will win.

But good luck to Canada.

Re: Brazil vs Canada

Let's teach the Canucks how to play on the dirt.

I'm pretty confident about this one, I think the only point Canada have a good shot at is the doubles. If Brazil lose as much as one of the four singles rubbers, it will be utterly embarassing.

I would not call it utterly embarassing if Dancevic beat Sa he just got Dicked by Norman 6-1 6-2

Infact Frank should beat him all be it on clay.

Sa won't play singles, only if it's a dead rubber.

Saretta, Daniel or Mello should take care of Dancevic.

Call me crazy but I think this comes down to Saretta vs Dancevic.

I think Dancevic will beat Daniel (or Mello) Saretta will be Niemeyer Daniel/Mello will beat Niemeyer but Canada will win in doubles (Nestor/Polansky )

Frank is the best player in the tie

Saretta is the best player in the tie, especially considering it's on clay.

I still favour the #2 Brazillian (be it Daniel or Mello) over Dancevic. Agree with you on the doubles, Canada are the favourites because of Nestor, even though Guga/Sá aren't exactly mugs on doubles, and Guga may get really fired up playing in his hometown.

Anyway, should be an exciting tie.

Right now, Dancevic is the best player in the tie, but Saretta is the best player on clay and since the tie is on clay thats all that really matters

But yeah Brasil is definatly the favorites and Saretta has always done very well at home, so it will be very hard for Frank to beat him in Brasil on clay. I still think we will get that one match (Frank over your number 2) so I am predicting a 3-2 Brasil win, but anything can happen

Doubles match should be a fun one.

Canada wont even televise this, thats how patetic tennis Canada is

Well that's debatable, since Saretta is currently ranked higher than Dancevic.

Yep, it's not impossible Dancevic gets a win over our #2. Mello and Daniel are not exactly mental fortitudes.

That sucks. I'm sure some Brazilian friends will provide some live commentary here, though.
