Europe/Africa Zone Group I 2nd Round: Netherlands at Great Britain (April 608, 2007)

Just a quick question I need answering to here. Am I right in thinking that on the Friday there is 2 singles matches and its pretty much done and dusted that the two players in the singles for GB will be Murray and Henman on the friday?

Thanks

Re: Davis Cup - GB vs Netherlands

Barring a catastrophe before the tie then Tim and Andy will be playing the singles on the Friday.

Unfortunately Arvind Parmar has retired so it looks like Tim and Andy

He only won 1 match out of 7 so I assumed you were being sarcastic. Nothing personal against Arvind

...and I hope he will actually make it to court...and partner either Rusedski or Auckland.

I won't be happy if Lloydy decides to use 1 of 2 singles players as that defeats the object of Jamie Murray there. We shuld be able to afford to lose the doubles so we need to experiment. Having Auckland playing could be good considering that he is a rightie (left & right combination often works well) and has good volleys.

Can't see Auckland getting into the team now J.Murray is No.1 doubles player and assuming Andy, Tim and even Greg get picked

I doubt Auckland will get selected after the way Lloyd slated him during commentary because he had the audacity to get married during a DC tie.

Andy Murray
Novak Djokovic ~ Juan Martin Del Potro ~ Paul Henri Mathieu ~ Rafael Nadal ~ Tomas Berdych ~ Stanislas Wawrinka ~ Jo-Wilfried Tsonga ~ Richard Gasquet
