Out Tursunov and Korolev, Davydenko withdraw , ¿who they come for the Russian team? ¿Safin and Andreev only?

and Kunitsyn and Gabashvili it seems

Kunitsyn is playing in Hawaii challenger the previous week so it seems he will play here.

Very weak team for Russia this time. But with Safin and Andreev only can give some damage too... there's not total advantage for Chile. But obviously now we have the major advantage.

A post that deserves to be on MTF Hall of Fame soon:

Re: Chile vs Russia

Well this is Chile's chance to go deep into the Davis Cup, France or Romania 2nd Round Chile may even make the semis. Russia in all sorts of trouble. This might be a bit wild thinking but it happened to Slovakia made the final in 2005 and were relegated to Euro/Afr Zone 1 in 2006, it may happen to Russia if they can't find the players and a hot team like Serbia plays them in the playoffs Russia is in big trouble.

With Gonzalez on this kind of form, Chile could win the Davis Cup.
