There will be a draw after the 2nd round in April. 8 seeded teams are drawn against 8 unseeded teams, the seeding would be determined by the Davis Cup ranking following the April round of matches.

Possible seeds (in this order): Croatia, Australia, Slovakia, Belarus, Switzerland, Chile, Czech Republic, Romania.

the rest will be: Austria, Peru, Brazil (most probably), Japan, South Korea, Israel, Serbia , Great Britain

A post that deserves to be on MTF Hall of Fame soon:

Re: World Group Playoffs Draw

Looking at it Australia should get a home tie if they dont play Great Britain or Austria. Australia should win if they play at home, hopefully we dont draw Serbia or Austria.

Re: World Group Playoffs Draw

Tipsarevic and Djokovic... in the Serbian Team!
It will be a huge threat if it is played in Serbia or in Chile..

Australia isn't awful. Novak is better now and Hewitt is worse than during the USO It's not the best choice but not the worst

Anyway, my main concern is NO SWITZERLAND. They ruined Serbia's chances last time.

Troicki - Djokovic - Del Potro - Kyrgios - Berankis
Cibulkova - Robson - Kirilenko - Azarenka
Retired but always loving Ferrero - Ancic - Kiefer

Re: World Group Playoffs Draw

If we play against GB
on Clay!!! , PLEASE!!!
Andy Murray is not that strong in clay as he is on Hardcourt, especially against Massú.
Because Gonzalez if he is playing his Tennis, without any ups and downs.
Feña can beat Murray on Clay and on Hardcourt.

Re: World Group Playoffs Draw

The worst scenario for the chilean team on the playoff could be this one:

Playing Serbian team with Djokovic, Tipsarevic, Zimonjic and company...
and in Serbia.

"Ahi se pone pelu'a la cosa, po e'ñor"
