If we're down 1-2 by Saturday, maybe Saretta should lead a default just like Muster.

On what grounds, he got hit with a weinerschnitzel.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Machado wins 6-2 6-1

A pity for Muster he's not the captain anymore, he would have been able to enjoy revenge in his own hands.

Re: Austria vs Brazil, World Group play-offs

Why did Austria give two walkovers in 96?

Also, is it likely Marcelo Melo will make the team for this tie?

Jim Thomas - Max Mirnyi - Jordan Kerr - Rohan Bopanna - Andy Roddick - Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi - Ilia Bozoljac - Chris Haggard - Jan-Michael Gambill - Donald Young - Nathan Healey - Lleyton Hewitt - Jamie Murray - Olivier Rochus - James Blake - Vince Spadea - Tim Henman - John Isner - Travis Parrott - Paul Goldstein - Tim Henman - Wes Moodie - Arnaud Clement - Michael Russell - Jeff Coetzee

The Austrian team (especially Muster) was annoyed with the crowd behaviour (people screaming in between points, insults, hisses and a guy constantly shining a mirror in Muster's eyes when he was about to serve) and alleged "safety concerns". The ITF concluded things weren't serious enough to justify the withdrawals and Brazil ended up winning the tie by 4-1 and got promoted to the World Group, and Austria was relegated.

I remember Muster saying, "I'll never come back again to this country full of animals." He actually came back more than once a few years later for Carnival in Rio.

Marcelo should pair up with Sa for the doubles, yes.

Good to see Melo/Sa in Davis Cup!
Some idea about who may play in singles?
Saretta, Mello and Alves?

Agree.

Alves has been having laughable results recently.

Maybe Costa won't do it, but certainly it's the best choice
