Svacko hasn't played in DC for Latvia since 2003, but since he seemed to be hanging around Ernests often I'll include him anyway

Latvian ATP players in the news
Deniss Pavlovs is the second seed in the Bosnia Herzegovina F2 in Sarajevo. He will face either Aleksander Slovic or Juan-Miguel Such-Perez in the second round of singles. He is also partnering Goran Tosic in the doubles. They are seeded third and defeated Robert Belak/Luka Belic in the first round.
Karlis Lejnieks is the third seed in the Heraklio F2 in Greece. The tournament is played on artificial grass. He defeated Germany's Soren Goritzka in the first round, and will face Paris Gemouchidis next.
well to be honest it looked like he recovered more or less from his injury even by the time of doubles final  when he retired during singles match against Ignatik, almost everyone thought that doubles won't be played at all :retard: but after some suitable rest and rain delay the doubles final also took place. He was moving on court much better comparing to first match of the day. Even the commentators during the coverage on Belarussian TV mentioned Deniss was a strong link in their team
so somehow he managed to recover so quickly (oh well, I guess HOW, but it'd better not to know that :silly:
btw it was a huge suprise for me that the futures tournament got coverage on one of a local TV channels of Minsk.
And as for today, he had to play two matches in a row, first to finish his first round match and immediately after that play second round match. I think he was just too tired after stressful last week :awww:
Andis Juska is playing Reggio Emilia challenger qualies and is 7th seed

I know this info is late I randomly checked Tennis Riga site just now and forgotten man Richards Emulins is back
He tried to qualify for Romania F10, but sadly he lost in opening qualifying round, 6-1 6-1 to Tomas Vyrostko of Slovakia . At least we know he's around
Deniss is in Turkey F7 this week. He's already through a round of doubles-he's seeded 3 partnering Vladyslav Klynenko of Ukraine. They defeated Andrei Karatchenia/Pavel Katliarou of Bulgaria 6-4 6-4.
He's seeded 2 in the singles event. He'll play Valentin Dimov, a Bulgarian qualifier in the 1st round.
Andis and Karlis have both been in qualifying event in Dublin Challenger. Karlis made it through a round, beating Geoff Gehke of U.S.A. 6-1 6-0, before losing to 2nd seed in qualifying Ivo Klec of Czech Republic, no disgrace there.
Andis was Top Seed in qualifying event, in the final round today he had to retire against Michel Koning of Netherlands, he managed only 3 games Get well soon Andis

I had this horrible mental image of Deniss' jeans the other day. I saw someone with something similar, and it came to me: the ripped jeans, the turqoise shirt..
