So here's more about that UK singer (Yannis Philippakis of The Foals) who is obsessed with Andy Roddick.....
Foals: Are they the new Radiohead?
One of the most bizarre of [his] obsessions is former World No 1 tennis player Andy Roddick. "He's not the most talented tennis player ever," Philippakis explains, "but the idea of psychological discipline and no Plan B - I like that. It's the pathos, too. There's a kind of tragic-hero quality. He's like someone out of The Great Gatsby." (Tangy: this is clever, actually. Me like.)
Singer Yannis Philippakis is a tennis fanatic and American Grand Slam pro Andy Roddick is his favorite player. The lyrics for "The French Open" are based on Roddick's advert with Lacoste.
And here's yet another young tennis player who names Andy as her favorite.
Fresh off national tourney win, Forster looking for even more

Meet 10-year-old Bridget Forster of North Cornwall Township, undoubtedly the only Lebanon County resident to share a tennis accomplishment with American star player Andy Roddick
Forster, the daughter of longtime local teaching pro John Forster, recently captured one of the country’s most prestigious tournaments for up-and-coming junior players, the “Little Mo” Nationals, an event for youngsters 11 years of age and under named for the first female winner of the tennis Grand Slam, Maureen “Little Mo” Connolly.
In emerging victorious in the girls’ 10-and-under division last month in Austin, Texas, Forster joined, among others, Roddick as a Little Mo champion.
A pretty cool development given that Forster’s favorite player just happens to be ... you guessed it, Andy Roddick
“It was great,” said Bridget, as personable and articulate off the court as she is talented on it. “It was just great to win it. I’ve always had a dream to win the Little Mo, ’cause Andy Roddick did, too, and I love Andy Roddick. He won under-10, too, so it was very special to me to win it.”
