i think cockyness is a big factor in the times when he just locks himself into a bad situation and won't do anything about it.

true, but gasquet beat him that one time. it was such bad luck getting roger in the first rd. of wimbledon. and then there's that guy called NADAL who's beaten him so many times this year.
