Re: Robby Ginepri

I like Robby, just not a lot. Get a personality is right.

But I'm very happy for him for getting his first clay win. He probably should've won the match in two though, I'd be willing to bet my life he choked a little in the tiebreaker.

for Mr Personality!

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

Re: Robby Ginepri

Ginepri has a personality. He just needs to show his personality on court. He's really a funny guy and really just a cool dude. I watched a thing with him on the tennis channel that followed him around and then when I really watched the Tennis channel for the first time last year I followed him throughtout that Hall of Fame thing when he won there. I guess I have just been a Ginepri fan ever since.

He's been injured but make no mistake he's going to be a top ten player. Top Ten!!!!!!!! Alright, I went alittle too far there but, he could win some more satties and the smaller events, maybe someday a masters on slow HC but, I don't see him winning any slams. He's a notch better than Vahaly or Blake. He's just one of those guys like Mardy "with a D" that I root for on the side hope they do well but, I know they are'nt cut from the same cloth as Andy. Andy comes from a different talent pool. I know Roger comes from one above that, so it's all in perspective for me. I like him though, I generally don't think he's a bad guy, and I don't think he's boring.

Re: Robby Ginepri

lol, I see Ginepri cracking the top 20 at best. He should win at least 5 titles, but all will be small. He'll need everyone to catch food poisoning (tuna melts ) at a TMS event for him to win one. It's not just Ginepri on the court, it's even OFF the court. Like during interviews, I just wanna everythime he speaks, the most monotone voice i have EVER heard. get something shoved up your butt and lighten up during interviews please that being said, yes imo he is a cut above blake/vahaly/dent, but just a tad lower than Mardy. He's got a really good complete game, but nothing stands out, something he needs to work on

Re: Robby Ginepri

Bleh, that's where I disagree Nald, I think he has the talent to win a masters or make the quarters of a slam(UsO). His game is just more complete you are right about that! I like it when he talks he tries use southern slang, he's halirous..

Re: Robby Ginepri

getting to the QF of a slam, yes that I see. winning a TMS event, i don't see that in his future. if he adds a weapon, yeah sure, but with his type of game atm he can't. winning a TMS is sometimes even harder than winning a slam. I hope he does improve though, he might be able to cut andy some slack in DC ties when facing blah opponents

Re: Robby Ginepri

PMac won't have to decide the DC team til sometime during the USO. That's when it came out last year anyway

Sorry Skyler but I've seen Robby off court, he was chatting with James and Mardy and he just does not have a personality. He actually shows more emotion on court than he was showing chatting with two of his best friends.

Re: Robby Ginepri

I like Robby's game. He has a solid ground game and I like to see him use the angles, especially that backhand one..

Reminds me a little of Andre, although not as proficient and experienced.

Re: Robby Ginepri

I like Robby's game too, I've seen him play several times now in person, both singles and doubles once too. It's decent all around. *decent* serve, though he could improve it a lot, good return, pretty good at the net when he has to go up there, and not bad from the baseline either, plus he's quick as a bunny. He just needs to inject a little more excitement

Re: Robby Ginepri

I meant Robby picking up some slack for the DC team for the 1st two ties (1st round, QF) !st round will give andy some rest after the AO, and QF will give him rest if he wants to be a :retard: and play Houston as well as the clay TMS events

Re: Robby Ginepri

Robby/Blake/Spadea should substitute for Andy sometimes. Unless the U.S wins everything, Andy shouldn't play all the time to supposedly please Pmac and the U.S. IMO, the players seem really naive and gullible about DC.
Andy desperately needs to improve his game and has to do his best in all events. He can't play below his capability. I hope he doesn't pretend that everyone accepts his losses because he feels unhealthy and distracted.
