Re: Taking Back New York (Andy's US Open Thread!!!!!!!!)

Question - so, how does the re-scheduling work? Let's say the day session can only start around 3 or 4 p.m. Do they start from the top? The evening/night session proceeds as planned, or the matches scheduled before them will have to be done first?!

Not really sure. I don't know if there's a hard and fast rule on that. What they'll probably do is readjust the schdeule somehow and try to get in as much as possible - nice thing about NY of course is that they can keep going really late, that helps. You know they want Andre to play so he can get a day off. You know they want Andy to play so he doesn't have to play back-to-back too This is where the cries of favoritism will probably start flying. lol.

I guess the problem is that even when it's not raining, it's cold and windy and not great tennis weather regardless.

LOL! Yeah, it's not going to be a good day to play tennis, unfortunately... We're going to see players contented to just keep the ball in play all day

Latest from usopen.org

Saturday Session 11 - 11 AM Update

Play delayed until 1 pm. The forecast is still calling for intermittent showers and does not looking promising for today. There may be some clearing making play possible for tonight. Sunday's forecast is optimistic.

Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation.

Re: Taking Back New York (Andy's US Open Thread!!!!!!!!)

They just had Pam on talking to the tourney referee and it sounds like the storm has mostly moved away, but it's still going to be on and off all day. At the moment, it's not raining, but it will be lol.

They just showed Andy and Doug and John and Jimmy in the lounge playing put put golf

like a little game where you try to get the put in the hole... it's really kind of dumb but they seemed to be enjoying themselves

I wish we had some decent replays. All I'm getting on Eurosport is Murray!
