Good thing James lost, I couldn't bear to see the J-Block get their way again
nothing against James himself of course...
And America's top dog is back in the rankings

I think only reaching the finals will leave Andy five points behind Kolya.

Andy has to win to get to number five. Any other result and he goes to number six.

I hope the crowd is that ridiculous for the final, cuz then Andy might have a chance. I hope Roger plays that sloppy and chokes like that in the final, then Andy really will have a chance.

If Andy's in the final, I don't think that we have to worry at all about how insane the crowd will be.

Re: Yea, I almost cried too!! Now Beat Mikhail!! (Andy's US Open Thread!!!!!!!!)

I'm still wondering where all the Federer fans went. I know he has them in NYC but you couldn't tell last night. The only people making a nuisiance of themselves was the J-Block. The rest of the crowd was actually pretty quiet.

If it's an Andy-Roger final I doubt will go as crazy as some people think it will. Andy hasn't really "worked" a crowd since 2003. I still think Roger hasn't faced a crowd as tough as last year's final so anything less than that will be a piece of cake for him.

People still complaining about the J-Block You'd think they were the most powerful lobby or something. They're hardly the worst group of nutty fans, although I agree that that blonde guy was very annoying.

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

How do you know that? Are you and Jim Curley pyschically linked?

Is anyone else relieved that there's no men's tennis today? My VCR can catch a break and I can finally go to bed at a decent hour.
