I am younger than Jennifer Capriati but older than Carlos Moya. I am taller than Agassi but shorter than Sampras. I am uglier than Marat Safin but better looking than Wayne Ferreira.

I am a musician and I'm also working toward my Ph.D in music. I live in New York City. I have always enjoyed tennis but I got much more serious about it in the past three years, both as a fan and player. It has kept me in shape, otherwise I would be a blimp, lol! And when music is your profession, it's nice to have something else like tennis as a hobby.

Andre Agassi is my all-time favorite, hero, etc. But his forum is unfortunately not as active as Andy's! And I like Andy too, and the people in this forum.

That's all for now!

Re: so what about us?

Ah, Star, now I understand why you speak Deutsch so well! I studied music & German in Vienna for 5 months, so that's my background! Wish I could go back some day --- $2.00 opera tickets if you're willing to stand!

Re: so what about us?

lol MisterQ good information giving

good luck with your music studies...my school has a large music school so I know how difficult they have to work at it. When I'm a music lawyer in 4 years or so I'll be glad to represent ya

as for tennis, my all-time fave is Pete. I don't even know why, he just inspired me whenever I watched him play. My current fave is Andy of course but I support any and all American players.

So star, how bad is law school really?

Law school will be a transforming experience. It sounds corny, but you will come out of it altered in the way you think and process information. It's trementously boring, but then that prepares you for the practice of law.

It is true when they tell you that you will meet your life long friends in law school.

Mister Q!! You learned German so well in only 5 months! It is true what they say about musicians being able to pick up languages quickly!

How wonderful to study and live a life of music.

Thanks star! But I did take a couple of college courses, too. I'm not that much of a Wunderkind!

LOL... what I really want to do is contract negotiation. I hear about the contracts even major artists (aka who sell millions of records) have and it makes me sick just how little they get, so for people on the struggling end I can't even imagine. Plus I see better solutions to the whole downloading problem and I'd like to get into the copyright aspect. I really care about music so I want to get into the legal side to help make it better for artists

lol! I am working on it, can't find anything good enough Andy-related to put in yet. Trying to find a funny quote from him that strikes my fancy or something. but this one from Jon caught me and I was like omg must put in sig. lol

Archi is hard, jackson, I see what the archies go through at my school - the light in their building is on and people are in their working 24/7.... it's really admirable!

Re: so what about us?

Oh yea...it's like you live in the studio if you're an Archi major.

I have this one shirt...with play on words...it's hella funny...

On the front it says: "Architects Do It With Models"

On the back it says: "And We Go All Night Long"

Some of us arch. students have that shirt..someone was selling them in studio last year..I saw it, and was like I definitely want that! lmao

The message is so true though.
