Re: What should Andy do next?

I really think he should see a sports psychologist or something.. he needs to get back on track - fast.
Maybe find a new coach.. but I dont think that will really make much of a difference.

A sports psych couldn't hurt. He's just going through a bad patch it happens to the best of them.

So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.

Hire Adam after he graduates. Maybe ARod will start laughing and enjoying it all ( and therefore settle down) while Adam's ego gets elevated even further ( Now remember I do love the scottish laddie )

Re: What should Andy do next?

This is the first of those "bad losses" with John as coach - so supposedly John isn't afraid to tell Andy like it is. Let's see what he does. It's not a coaching problem, it's an Andy problem, but considering John is his brother and allegedly listens, yea.

After hearing what he said the day before this match, I believe now more than ever that he himself knows what to do - he's just having an execution problem. and I think the only ways for him to fight through that is for: 1) a sports psychologist to help him through it, 2) He might sometime just snap out of it (But it's been almost 2 years now so I doubt that), or 3) Someone can convince him to just start smashing at the ball again. Maybe John's the guy that can help but considering he didn't go out and smash the ball against Murray (which is how he could've beaten him), I dunno.

Ask Brad Gilbert he'd know what to do.

Actually, I think Paul Annacone would be a good option. He'd get Andy to start playing to his strengths again. One of Tim Henman's problems was that he wasn't playing the game he was comfortable with.

Tactically, Mark Petchey knew exactly how to prepare Murray for the match. AndyR is missing a guy like that, at the moment.
