...and the Oscar goes to King Kooyong!

Kooyong is coming up.
Andy will be back in a few days (it's been too long).
Riskier, faster and with more raw power, as he said himself.
Go Andy!

Who are the other invited players for this event? Anyone?

As of right now: Federer, Coria, Ljubicic, Nalbandian, Haas, Monfils, and Andy..... they haven't replaced Andre yet.

Thanks for starting the thread

Re: Earth, Grind & Power: Kooyong thread

I hate it when Deb beats me! I think I heard a rumor today that Henman might be asked to replace Agassi since he will not be playing.

"Work like you don't need the money, Sing like nobody's listening, Dance like nobody's watching, Love like you've never been hurt." - Mark Twain

Through this world I've stumbled, So many times betrayed
Trying to find an honest word to find, The truth enslaved
Oh you speak to me in riddles, And you speak to me in rhymes
My body aches to breathe your breath, Your words keep me alive
And I would be the one, To hold you down
Kiss you so hard, I'll take your breath away
And after, I'd wipe away the tears
Just close your eyes dear

Sowwy

Henman...yeah I'm sure they'll announce it soon. Not having agassi frees them up a lot of money to get someone pretty good

Good luck Andy! Looks like a good group with some repeaters from last year.

Re: Earth, Grind & Power: Kooyong thread

Ah. Thanks.
So Marat is still in doubt for AO as well as Nadal?
And Hewitt lost to a player he shouldn't have lost to.
Oh well. Hopefully Andy does well at Kooyong - if he gets to play in the final just like last year, then I would be happy. Actually I want him to win the whole thing. Is it too much to ask?

I just wish Fed wasn't there, but I guess you can't have everything, right?

Re: Earth, Grind & Power: Kooyong thread

Okay so first Andy's tournament and I'm not getting any coverage. Ugh.

It's gonna be good for him playing a few matches against the top players. I just wish I had the coverage to watch it .

Anyway, I didn't know Hewitt had lost. God, I'm so into the Hopman Cup I forgot the other tourneys. Anyway... that can't be bad now can it?

I hope Andy has a good start of year *crosses fingers*

I am so ready for Andy to start playing!!!! but also reminds me of the upcoming "joys" of no livescores

Each of us owes deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this light

Re: Earth, Grind & Power: Kooyong thread

This will be a difficult openining tournament but its time for Roddick to prove his standing among the best of the rest and a good start could do good things for his confidence. It will be interesting to see what adjusments he has made, and due to Nadal's injury and Hewitt's loss there is a good chance that Roddick may be the #2 seed and miss having Federer in his draw again. Roddick better start playing well before his luck drys up.

I guess Roddick must be the greatest player to ever play the game.
