Recommend Stuff!

Not as creatively titled as a lot of the threads around here but that's a skill I'm hoping to develop with the passage of time.

I thought that since we are all so different in terms of where we come form, stuff we like, experiences we've had - we could recommend things for each other to try. Like places to visit, books to read, to listen to, movies to watch, food or to try...anything at all really.
Or you could warn people off of stuff you did try which turned out to be rubbish.

I'll start off with :

1) CSI Las Vegas: totally gory but gripping tv series with some girly eyecandy(http://www.angelfire.com/ky3/dourdan...ue_dourdan.jpg )thrown in between postmortems and finding missing eyeballs
2) Peanut butter and cheddar cheese sandwiches. Culinary masterpiece in two seconds.
3) Madeleine Peyroux. French jazz singer: sounds uncannily similar to Ella Fitzgerald

Oh, I love to do this type of thing, I really do. But there are so many things I'd recommend that I'll have to filter them out first. I'll post it later.
