Talking The "There's no crying in tennis!" San Jose thread!

Heh

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

Re: The "There's no crying in tennis!" San Jose thread!

It's a small international series tourney, so the winner gets 35 Race points, 24 for the finalist, and so on. The field is similar to last year, though not quite as strong I don't think. Maybe Andy will get Labadze, then German K-Man, then Labadze, then Melzer, and have a repeat of the AO

I love that second picture of Andy. He's giving a "Hey, look mom, I won a tennis tournament" look.

Mardy Fish for president.

Re: The "There's no crying in tennis!" San Jose thread!

For once, we actually get a little bit of this tourney, very rare for small tournaments here. Here's the US TV Schedule:

The tourney has an excellent site with live scoring and stuff, blosson: http://sapopentennis.com/tennis/

Yea, Lauren... well that was his first title after the USO, and after the USO he hadn't played that well, so it was a pretty big win for him even though it was a small title...

Oh good, I'm glad they'll be showing some of it on TV. I still want to get last year's final on DVD at some point.

Glad you guys like the thread title.
