Andy knows how to handle Haas on the faster surfaces now.....he should get past him,if he's ready.

Haas is exactly the kind of player Andy needs in early rounds and not some Kohlschreiber dude.

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

I agree, if he gets past Haas early, he will get confidence and nobody would stop him in the later rounds

He won't get Tommy early in San Jose - he won't get him til at least the SF, Tommy won't be below the 4th seed I don't think. Someone good to face early, though, would be Mardy.

Their matches are always close. It would be nice to have Andy challenged early.

Haas is a terrific indoor player... not sure if he will ever reach that level again like he was in the past, but if Haas plays anywhere near what he could deliver last year at his good tournaments, I can promise you that the match will be decided -unlike their Cincy TMS meeting- by a few points, if not even small edge for Haas, as he isn't afraid of playing on the fastest surfaces either

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

If Roddick and Haas meet I think it will be a good match but I think Roddick will pull through.

But then again I am an Andy Fan so what am I supposed to think? He's gonna lose horribly? *knocks on wood*

hey have faith in tommy he'll get back up there again, just not at expense of andy i hope. tommy was looking good to begin with at AO before that collapse, i still haven't worked out exactly what happened there, was like he just decided he wasn't interested anymore but yes i think tommy will pick up again an di don't thinkit'd be an easy match for andy.

would be an enteratining match thats for sure. shame it doens'ty look like it's gonna be shown here

Re: The "There's no crying in tennis!" San Jose thread!

I think that close win over Haas at the olympics will help Andy a lot if he were to play Tommy, and I think Andy would definately beat Mardy because Mardy's form is poor now. GO ANDY!
