2004 Fashion Review: Andy's most BORING outfits!

Andy’s 2004 Fashion Review!

Seeing as how Andy is determined to set himself apart from his peers (both professionally and fashionably), this is probably the one poll Andy would hate the most: the most boring outfit.

Whatever your interpretation of "boring" is (no color or too much color; not different enough or tries too hard to be different), vote for it here!

Please try not to fall asleep when voting. Thank you.

Here are the nominees for Most Boring Andy outfit of 2004:

The ubiquitous red striped outfit(Kooyong, Australian Open, Scottsdale, Indian Wells, Nasdaq-100, Davis Cup, Thailand)

The blue striped outfit (Queen’s, Wimbledon, RCA)

The all-my-other-stripes-are-being-washed black striped outfit (TMS Canada, BNP Paribas, Cincy, TMC Houston)

Classic whites (Queen’s, Wimbledon, RCA. As a side note: I wish Andy would’ve worn a white trucker hat at Wimby, that would’ve been cool )
Honorable mention: the sweater vest outfit he wore during practice at Wimbledon; I know I wasn’t the only one who was disappointed that Andy didn’t wear that awesome club outfit during matches.

The patriotic red-white-and-blue outfits (Australian Open, Siebel, Nasdaq-100, Kroger St Jude, Indian Wells, Scottsdale, Davis Cup)

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

The Olympics outfit

The solid colored black-and-white outfits (TMS Canada, BNP Paribas, Cincy, Thailand, TMC Houston)

The Blue Boy outfits (Australian Open, Nasdaq-100, Scottsdale, RCA)

The forest/puke green outfits (French Open, US Men’s Clay Court Championship, Rome)

The NYC subway map/art-student-threw-up-on-my-shirt outfit (US Open)
“I can’t believe I wore this outfit either!”

Happy voting!

I voted for all of them except the USO outfit

Edit: Actually, I love the light blue/dark blue he wore once at RCA.

i love this thread tangy!
I think he wears nice outfits but the USO 2004 is horrible...it's not boring but crazy so I had to vote for it. Y'know which is the boring one? The one he wore in 2003 i think after Wimby

I guess most of them classify as boring but I voted for the whites and the black and whites.

Q. You must have so many different emotions going through your head. Was it like a rollercoaster for you?
STANISLAS WAWRINKA: Yeah, yeah, it's quite crazy..I never expect to win a Grand Slam.
I never dream about that because for me, I was not good enough to beat those guy.

Maybe the sky will fall?

Re: 2004 Fashion Review: Andy's most BORING outfits!

I agree about that RCA outfit, the light blue/dark blue one. I think that was one he wore when he beat Ivan the Terrible (again). It's a great outfit. Love solid, bold colors. Too bad he only wore it once. Maybe he'll wear it again this year.

Re: 2004 Fashion Review: Andy's most BORING outfits!

HE seems to only wear a blue/blue outfit at the RCA champs once, and never wears it again. IN 03 he wore it vs Saulnier I believe in his opener at RCA and won that in a tight match, then never wore it again. IN 04, he wore the blue/blue one vs Ivan, saved some match points, then it went back in the closet.

US Open was flat out disgusting, so I pick that.

Andy looks better in dark clothing.
