Because he's been trying to get fit for almost a whole year. I mean you and I aren't there watching, so I really have no idea about his level of off court commitment. He just looked exhausted again after 4 sets with Ferrer. I'm just curious how much time he's actually been putting in between hosting radio shows, movie preimeres, parties...hanging out with Dan Patrick and Bobby Bones.

Like you said, it's something that I never questioned and has always been one of Andy's greatest strengths. He could always battle until late in a match and then strike when his opponent had faded a bit. Since 2010 I haven't seen that level of fitness from him.

Hopefully he can spring board off these results, reinvigorate himself and continue to get fitter for the summer swing.

We should not forget that he go injured in Melbourne, then he was out for a lot of time during the clay season. From that perspective, there was not a lot of time for preparation.

After that match against Federer in Miami (mid March) he didn't play a single event until June. That's about 2 months he could train. I don't know...I'm hoping he's turning a corner here.

Not sure about singles, maybe doubles. Andy is hoping to play all three events (Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles). I think he will play doubles with John Isner and is hoping to play MD with Serena (though many players are competing for the two MD slots).
