Holy. Crap.

"Work like you don't need the money, Sing like nobody's listening, Dance like nobody's watching, Love like you've never been hurt." - Mark Twain

Through this world I've stumbled, So many times betrayed
Trying to find an honest word to find, The truth enslaved
Oh you speak to me in riddles, And you speak to me in rhymes
My body aches to breathe your breath, Your words keep me alive
And I would be the one, To hold you down
Kiss you so hard, I'll take your breath away
And after, I'd wipe away the tears
Just close your eyes dear

Glad I stayed up and watched the end of this. Love you guys. I fear there won't be too many more nights like these but I'll take it.

Re: Spring Hardcourt Season

Oh my good lord. Somebody pinch me. I am so so happy for him. He needed that, we needed that. Just...wow. Aside from him winning another slam () this was the top thing on my 'Andy must do before he retires..' list. So I will definitely feel more satisfied when he finally hangs up the racket. Awesome job A-Rod.

Dimitrov • Mahut • Paire • Hewitt • Raonic • Berdych • Gulbis • Murray

Thanks for the memories... Andy Roddick.

Thank you Andy for this unexpected victory over Federer. Let's not wait four more years.

Re: Spring Hardcourt Season

I was like "What the hell Andy?!" when he broke Fed in the third set. Those FHs were unreal. Unexpected and deserved. Served notice to the community that there's still some fight left in him and he's not dead and buried yet.

Re: Spring Hardcourt Season

Deb, I found Andy's forehand it's was the 1-1 game in the 3rd set when Andy hit 4 forehand winners (3 over 90mph) to break. Wow, I haven't seen him hit forehands like that in forever, he was just going for it.

Re: Spring Hardcourt Season

Andy gets Monaco next because Gael clowned around again. I don't know how it'll play out but I'll definitely take Monaco over Monfils.

He looks around there but he was still sitting on Dean's lap, and he's still really cute

Yeah, if only it would rear it's beautiful head a little more often than once every 2-3 years

Re: Spring Hardcourt Season

Well, congrats to us all. We suffered a lot recently and I think we deserved it. Andy deserved it as hell after all the injuries and stuff. I really hope he can stay healthy and build something from this. If not, at least he defeated Roger.
The only thing that bothers me is why he waits for the situation to become desperate to go for it. Against top guys, this kind of play is his only chance.

Re: Spring Hardcourt Season

thank god andy's finally woken up this year, and the fed win will be a great booster, too. or at least, i'm really hoping. come on, grass season and olympics.

...Fool me three times, either I'm kind of stupid or you're really good at this.

Nice to see you happy. I'm sure you cracked a smile at the end of this one.

Re: Spring Hardcourt Season

Did last night really just happen? He really couldn't have asked for a bigger win and he couldn't have needed something like this more. It's a win like this that could turn his career back around. He deserves this. We've experienced so much ugly these last 2 years and finally it's looking up.

Re: Spring Hardcourt Season

Great match for me. Although I had my doubts when I watched him get blown away in that second set. The 3rd set was just like wow oh wow.
However having just watched the first set against Monaco I now thankfully need to deal with dinner................
