Smile Thai Duck?

Well is Andy gonna show up?

He drew a qualifier. His draw would be pretty easy til the SF - Marat.

Thai Duck? I like this thread title.

According to AR.com, Andy will not play his first round match until Wednesday evening. He can take a rest.

Re: Thai Duck?

He'll play this event because Andy likes to play tournaments one after another. He doesn't like to take a week break, then play a tournament. He would rather play consecutive weeks of tennis, then take a week off. He's had a week off after the USO, now with the Davis Cup as prep he'll go to Thailand, play here, then I think it's a week off and we start with the TMS Madrid. I think I have it right.:retard:

Re: Thai Duck?

I think it's 2 weeks in between Thailand and Madrid, he's doing a couple of charity appearances in the states with Andre the week before Madrid

Re: Thai Duck?

Oh yeah. Well doing some exhibitions is even more practice than just training, and it doesn't get any better than to do some sparring with Agassi.

Re: Thai Duck?

Yes, that choke at 5-3 vs Massu was beyond pathetic, though credit to MAssu he went all the way to the finals.

Re: Thai Duck?

I really hope Andy doesn't scrap this one like he scrapped a couple last fall? Don't show up just for the new appearance fees. Another title is "long due".

Re: Thai Duck?

well last fall he had a "hamstring injury" and pulled out of this and Tokyo... I see no reason to believe he has any injuries this year, so if he were to pull out now, after the draw was made, well that would just be really poor. But based on the travel distance and jet-lag I can't see him doing THAT well. That said, the top 3 seeds all have pretty easy draws til the semis.
