Re: Andy's 2010 Season Live Scoring Thread (Paris)

yeah, i can buy that, too, but i wouldn't have minded to at least see him put a bit more into it. it was disappointing since he could have definitely gotten further and what i watched (basically the first set and a little after until andy got broken again), the crowd seemed to want to get behind andy, but he just wasn't giving them much.

...Fool me three times, either I'm kind of stupid or you're really good at this.

I think Andy's looking too nervous. I really don't care if he wins or loses. Is that bad???

Re: Andy's 2010 Season Live Scoring Thread (London WTF)

Rafa is rusty and Andy is nervous. Andy needs to win this first set....

.... 141 mph serve, Duck's in da house.

.... good to see that Andy's not pushing the ball around, I was afraid he'd pull that crap again because he's done it before.

If you plugged in Rafa #Nadal and Andy #Roddick right now you could power London. Roddick so hyped up that almost every serve has been 135+

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

Andy wins a rally vs Rafa

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. Re: Andy's 2010 Season Live Scoring Thread (London WTF)

I'm at work and had to look away when Andy had broken Rafa. I came back and saw he got broken. Bah.

Andy just threw away that second set. Typical.

Andy still can't win tiebreaks.

Re: Andy's 2010 Season Live Scoring Thread (London WTF)

This match should have been 6-3, 6-3. Instead he might lose. Awesome sauce. It's one thing to outright lose the match. Okay, whatever. But to lose it this way? Forget it.

Frustrating. Oh well he had the chances but could not capitalize and I am ready for dinner!

Re: Andy's 2010 Season Live Scoring Thread (London WTF)

i can't even. andy should've won this in straight sets, but after he gave the break back in the 2nd, i figured it was gonna be like this.

oh well. you'd think i'd be used to all the should've-could've-would'ves with andy, but they always still just kind of piss me off so much.

i mean, yeah, the match isn't over yet, but

Andy really should have beaten Rafa down badly. Rafa sucks indoors. He's become such a mental midget.

Re: Andy's 2010 Season Live Scoring Thread (London WTF)

Andy had to win this in two sets, it was inevitable that Rafa would wear him down. Le sigh.

Other than his serve where is a weapon?
