Re: Andy's 2010 Season Live Scoring Thread (US Open)

Am I hearing things or was that some fan yelling "Do something Andy!" Maybe it was just me saying that in my head.

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

Re: Andy's 2010 Season Live Scoring Thread (US Open)

andy's gotta stop just trying to bank on an opponent's ues in matches by pushing everything back. it'll only get you so far and only with certain players. be aggressive gdi and make shit happen for yourself.

...Fool me three times, either I'm kind of stupid or you're really good at this.

we're all saying it, but he's not doing it, tangy, hard to see him turning this around, nothing is different this set so far. still content to let tipsy hit a billion winners.

I actually expected a good run here, R3 at least.
Next time will be better then.

this security blanket play from andy is just... ugh. someone needs to just snatch it away and hide it from him. or beat him over the head with it.

He needs to wake the eff up like he did in Miami vs Rafa. We're all tired of this shit passive play from him.

Don't understand why he's so listless out there. I get the whole mono thing but what he's doing is not conducive to saving energy at all.

I'm going to sleep. I will not be surprised to see a loss here. He's doing exactly what I feared he would do: fold against lesser ranked players.

Re: Andy's 2010 Season Live Scoring Thread (US Open)

true. if he didn't have much energy, you'd think he'd be using what little energy he had, into playing fast and short, instead he's getting caught up in these rallies and doing all this running in his own service games. so frustrating. but i guess a red flag would be that he doesn't even seem to be getting frustrated himself. he's just... kind of blank right now.

it's too bad he's not playing like he did against cilic when he was injured. sure he lost in the end, but for a pretty good extended time, he was playing sooo aggressive and was benefiting from the play. not saying i want him to be hurt and play, of course, but just wish he could change gears.

eta: well, bye andy.

He can't even reach for balls four feet away from him! Wow...

I like both of the guys but i feel very sad for Andy. Isner, Cilic, Lu, Fish, Querrey, Tipsarevic all own him. What a shame.
