He could pay for hawkeye and still have money left over. He's verrrrry valuable to that tournament.

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

Re: The "OMBG, Andy's Trying to Set the Jet-Lag Record" Spring Indoor/HC Thread

Has anyone noticed? Andy's made his third semifinal in a row. When was the last time he did that?

Looking at that picture of Andy standing next to Tommy shows just how much larger Andy is built than most other tennis players. He's so large-boned that even when he's lost weight he's still big. Nadal is more muscular but his bone structure is still smaller than Andy's. And Djokovic is dainty (like a flower ) compared to most of these guys.

So Andy plays the Worm next, hope he's got his worm-squishing shoes on.

I am watching the Mofils-Nadal match and it's boring. Monfils is sick with a stomach bug so he's barely any energy but he's trudging on.

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

Just got done watching SAP Video Diary no. 2. They were on their way to dinner (Graham's birthday), and Andy ended up backing up the Porsche (lent to him) into a mini-van, messed up both of them. But the dinner was nice.

Re: The "What kind of Monumental Epicness will he come up with next?" Spring HC Threa

------------

"That's not executing, man," Roddick said to himself, loud enough for much of HP Pavilion to hear. "The shot is there every time. That's not executing."

Ultimately, a frustrated Andy Roddick concluded Saturday night, "I'm just not executing."

"I got frustrated because I wasn't able to execute and bear down," said Roddick, who was seeking his fourth SAP Open title. "But that's the name of it: You can set yourself up, but you have to close the door."

"I played all right," Roddick said. "I got frustrated because I wasn't able to bear down and execute. He played well. As badly as I thought I executed, he did a pretty good job. He just does the basics so well. He puts first serves in. He puts the ball in the corner. He puts the ball where it's supposed to be, comes in on the right shots and kind of stays there mentally, also. It's a credit to him."

Roddick said the only thing he's "upset" about is that he got so "mad" during the match.

"I didn't just stay the course," Roddick said. "Because I have been doing that real well this year. So there's definitely something to build on next week."

I am not happy about this. It's bad enough that he lost but to Stepanek?!?! great! I take it from those quotes that he acted like a jerk during the match? or was he just mad at himself?

He had a couple moments but mainly he was mad at himself, looked about ready to explode. Bad, bad, bad and bad again.

At least he admitted he made a ton of mistakes.

Re: The "What kind of Monumental Epicness will he come up with next?" Spring HC Threa

i don't think he acted like a jerk. He didn't say anything to the ump or anything like that, you could just see his frustration with his own play mount as the match went on. Yeah, at least he knows he fucked up and that it was an execution problem, hopefully he can figure out why. Based on the new ranking structure, these 250 events don't even matter that much - only two of them even can count towards his ranking, so hopefully he works out the kinks for Memphis and can win there because it's more important.
