And I also thought Andy looked in good shape this week, very consistent, moving well, showed a good attitude too.
Even I Monfilstarde thought the recent h2h had been quite unfair to Andy, it was about time for him to get a win, it's not like Gaël owned him!

What does the "Lagardère" thing on his sleeve mean, does it have anything to do with the "Team Lagardère", or is Lagardère just a sponsor? The Team was just for French players at the beginning, but Baghdatis now is part of it too, so I was wondering about Andy.
We're not entirely sure, it showed up on his shirt around Shanghai last year we think... I'm assuming it's just a sponsorship from the main Lagardere conglomerate (I guess you'd know more about that company than I would ), but I don't really have any idea. I would be incredibly shocked if he were part of "Team Lagardere" though. I'm not entirely sure what the "Team" does, but considering he still trains in the US, has his own coach and management and team and everything..... yeah, not sure!

Thanks Just would like to see him play more aggressively, then I think good things will happen for him.

Thanks, I don't know much about the whole Lagardère conglomerate either, I just know the Team Lagardère, but it doesn't make sense in his case indeed, so it's probably only a sponsor, even if it seems a bit unusual.
I'll tell you if I see anything about it in the French media or on French tennis websites.

Thanks! I guess it's not so unusual if you consider his other two major sponsors are French. It seems he lost Lexus, and replaced it with this patch on his sleeve. From the pics yesterday, he's obviously still sponsored by Rolex too, and SAP, so all of his sponsors are Europe-based

Well, it was a good quality match, but Murray was just too good. With his superb return and great footwork, there were not so many options left for our Andy. He got outplayed during the baseline rallies, he was unable to impose any attacking game on Murray, and he got passed numerous (God only knows how many..) times at the net. The good news is that his overall game, IMO, is still very competitive for the top-level, and there are certainly some positives to be taken from this tournament.

So, my congratulations to Andy with a very well deserved runner-up title This time the opponent was just too strong.

I think I'm glad I didn't get to see it after all. Overall a good first week though, hopefully he'll really find his form in time for the AO because I can't take another early slam exit!
