Re: Players that Andy Owns....

I think andy owns almost everyone on the tour,.......... except Roger Federer.
It's 6-1 to Federer, I think?

Re: Players that Andy Owns....

he doesn't own Haas (0-4) or Andre (1-4)... there are a bunch of players he's 1-0 or 2-0 against and that doesn't really mean ownership either yet . He's also 0-2 against Clement And only 2-2 against Gambill

Re: Players that Andy Owns....

i know the last time they played andy kicked his butt, so maybe their first two matches were the ones andy lost and you cant really base predictions on matches that happened two or more years ago. like didnt hewitt used to kick andy's butt and now and just beat him easily enough. i guess i could look up actual facts, i am so just guessing on most of this stuff.lol

LOL That was kinda a joke. The 2 times Kendoll beat Andy were way a long time ago... he caught up this year once and then again the next week lol. I was there the first time he beat him in scottsdale and he came back from a set down (lost in a TB actually! ).... I'm sure Andy will own Jan-Mike from now on.

Re: Players that Andy Owns....

No need to be embarrassed about Clement, both his wins against Roddick were on clay in 2002 and at the moment it's safe to say that any player who meets Roddick regularly on clay will end up with a healthy record against him (with the exception of luminaries like Kendrick and Lee, of course). Roddick is doing a good job of keeping his record against other top players respectable by sucking on clay, of course, since he doesn't even get to play them.

I could be annoyed about the Schalken head to head, but then bearing in mind that Schalken is also owned by every top player out there I ain't too worried. He has his limitations, as does Robredo, hence his failure to win even a single set against Roddick. It's people like Malisse and Srichaphan who should be worried given that they have some real weapons in their armoury - although the latter is basically only good at one thing, and Roddick does it better than him.

The Wit and Wisdom of the Tennis Journalist, Indian Wells 2004

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

Sjeng!!! This about who Andy owns, not how Andy gets owned on clay!

Re: Players that Andy Owns....

Fumus, you should rename your thread "Andy's Bitch Boy Club" because we can now add one yummy German named Kiefer to the Roddick harem. Andy beat Kiwi in the Toronto SFs today, 7-5, 6-3.

Another Roger/Andy final! *orgasms* aaah! Tomorrow's going to be a blood battle! Bring on the Swiss Meister!

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

Kiefer has already assumed the position.

Re: Players that Andy Owns....

I don't think this can be classified as an 'own' but Andy has a 2-1 record against the great Pete. Not many players, active or otherwise had/have a winning record against him, so its a great achievement.

Re: Players that Andy Owns....

star will appreciate your pointing that out

I'm glad Andy had his wins over Pete when he had them, the one in Miami really is what kinda put him on the map.

But Pete won the biggest one and I'm happy about that too
