The matches I saw:
Just the last games of Kournikova/Shaugnessy vs Coetzer/Elia from what I saw the first pair had a real advantage, the crowd was cheering for Anna
They signed autographs for a while
Kafelnikov/Palmer vs Youzhny/Shuettler 7-6 6-3
In the begging Zhenya couldn't find his game, he was making all kinds of errors from every part of the court but then everything got OK, both teams held their serves, Shuettler was serving very well btw, and it went to a tie- break, where Zhenya and Palmer had an advantage, they took a break early in the second and held till the end, even though they had to save a few bp. I had no doubt they will win though
Panova vs Kremer 7-5 6-3
saw the whole match, in the beginning of the first set it seemed as if Tatiana had no idea how to play with her opponent, she was late for the balls, made many errors, was down 0-3 then started going for her shots, hitiing the lines at the importaint points, it then became 3-3 it was close until 5-5 when Tatiana held comfortably and then broke.
In the second she was better and Kremer didn't look as if she wanted to fight.
Among thre people watching her match were : David Sanguinetti (what was he doing there
), Natalie Dechy with her boyfriend or/and coach, I don't really know who he is, Vera Zvonareva cam for about 10 minutes, a Russian junior Anna Tchakvekadze (I know I spelled it wrong
Federer/ Mirniy vs Suk/Damm 6-3 6-4
Ooohh I like the first two
What can I say? Roger and Max played very well, with ease, laughing and joking after almost every point, didn't give the others a chance, Max was had a triple bp against him in the end of the second but managed to save them thanks to three great serves, they look like they are very good friends
Denis Golovanov (who is playing doubles with Marat) was watching the match, I don't think Roger's coach is in Moscow btw, or at least he wasn't here yesterday or today
Oh and if anybody is wondering where Miroslava Vavrinec is
I know the answer
Hingis vs Petrova
Dissapointed. Martina played softly, no good serving, made errors, Nadia was stronger, had an advantage. She was up 3-0 in the second, then Hingis made it 3-2 and if she had won that third game maybe we would have had a different result today, but no... this match was similar to Hingis- Dementieva last year...
Escude vs Costa
Just saw it up to the middle of the first set, Nicolas lost his serve and I left, saw the end on Tv at home. Glad to see him back, hopefully I'll see some full matches with him later
During one of the matches, I was sitting on a court where you could see the VIP area, Marat was talking on his mobile phone, then left and some kids were running chasing him for an autograph
, Amelie was walking there seemed like she was looking for someone, Kiefer signed autographs...
That's it for today, I'll post the pics later and I'm not going to the stadium tomorrow as I have to study all day
