I'm about ready to take a month holiday and skip the AO. First Nalby, then Soda, then Nole stinks up Kooyong, and then I just read this (not good to have Baggy holding up all your hopes in the AO

THE Australian Open claims of Juan Martin del Potro and Robin Soderling are in doubt after injury forced them to withdraw from Kooyong yesterday.
Del Potro, the US Open champion, was to play Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in a semi-final of the Classic today but withdrew last night citing a wrist injury.
Tsonga will now play Spaniard Fernando Verdasco in the final tomorrow regardless of how he fares against a replacement today.
The scare to del Potro came as a surprise to Kooyong officials given the Argentine's dominance of veteran Croatian Ivan Ljubicic.
The world No 4 was also able to practise at Melbourne Park yesterday before his withdrawal. Earlier, Soderling had pulled out of a repechage match against Ljubicic after losing the first set, 6-4.
The French Open finalist said he had a recurrence of the elbow tendonitis that plagued him towards the end of last year.

Delpo, Soderling Doubtful for Australian Open
Juan Martin del Potro and Robin Soderling are both in doubt
for the Australian Open after withdrawing from Kooyong with injuries. A wrist injury – presumably the same one he suffered from last autumn – forced Delpo to skip his match against Tsonga, while Soderling retired against Ljubicic after losing the opening set 64 with elbow tendinitis.
Soderling’s been optimistic about recovering for the Open, but no word from Delpo as yet.
This news is so dispiriting I don’t even know what to say about it, so have a shirtless picspam of Delpo instead.
