EDIT: An article from Ole. I post it in Spanish here in case I don´t find it later
I´ll post the translation tonight, half of the work is done.
His quotes are from Austria, after he won his match.
The article says he´s leaving Tandil on Friday to go to US for the hard court tournaments.
Here´s the translation, sorry for the delay.
DEL POTRO AFTER THE DREAMED DEBUT
“This was the best viaje de egresados* ”
*it could be callled “high school graduates group vacation” but that doesn´t sound good When you finish highschool in Argentina you make a trip with your class, if you´re from the northern part of the country, you go to Bariloche (in the Patagonian Andes) and if you´re from the South, you generally go to Camboriú (a beach town in Southern Brazil) or Córdoba, too...
He didn´t go to Bariloche, but he did go to Linz, where he gave the victory to Argentina. At 18 he already knows 25 countries.

Juan Martín Del Potro knows what traveling is. Thanks to tennis, he was already in Italy at 14 and today, four years later, he knows 25 countries. India, Japan and Bermuda, among other countries and just to name ‘the unusual’ ones. However, due to tennis, he couldn´t make a more traditional and shorter trip: the graduates one. Delpo finished high school in December and by time of preparing the tour to Bariloche with his partners, he had to step out to travel to Adelaide. There, he did well reaching the semifinals, his better performance in the ATP tour. The kid, of 18 years, was leaving school two months ago and on Sunday he gave the decisive rubber to Argentina against Austria, in Linz, to move to the Quarter final of the Davis Cup. It was a dreamy week for the Tandilense, who received his first call, made his debut a reality and approved the exam with a key victory. “This was the best graduates trip. No doubt! I missed 15 or 20 friends, but well… I came to Austria in my graduates trip!”, he joked with Olé, the day after the big day.
Due to tennis Del Potro did his last four years of high school in the Ceade, a distance education school. “I did veeeeeery well. Ten as average. I swear. Very good mean (?)”, he says. He says he is good in Geography, Language and History and very ‘weak’ in Maths. “That´s why during matches someone outside has to give me the scoreboard”, he continues playing. He would like to study Architecture (he might wanna reconsider that if he´s not good with maths )
, although he doesn´t know if he´ll be able to do it.
Tennis came to his life at seven. He played football in Independiente de Tandil (“from 5 to 8”, he explains), but once he picked a racquet, he was “hooked”. His first professor, Marcelo Gómez, still works with him. His idol as a kid was Sampras and he admires Safin. Pistol´s debut in DC at 20, and lost to the French Leconte; Marat made it at 18, like Juan, and he lost too.
In his home dad Daniel and mom Patricia waits for him. “The first thing I´ll do there? Asado with my family and friends; maybe an ‘affectionate night’…with my girlfriend, obviously”
, he says and adds: “I guess that as soon as I arrive I´ll realize what I achieved”. He was the one that stamped the ticket with his 5 sets victory over Jurgen Melzer.
Tandil will have him only three days. On Friday he´ll travel to United States to play the Memphis, Las Vegas, Indian Wells and Miami tournaments. One more time thinking in his career. “In the dressing room yesterday (Sunday) I said to my trainer: I won the best match of my career and I won´t go up in the ranking. But this will contribute a lot, it will give me more confidence in myself and will generate doubts in my rivals. But I can´t get relaxed because, ultimately, I won only one match”, he warns. He is right, but what an important match.
Delpo dreams of being against Sweden, from 6th to 8th of April: “Maybe this victory give me chances. But David is back… Acasuso is unquestioned because he left everything for the Cup, and that has to be taken into account; Cañas played incredible… If I´m there, fine; if not, I´ll support from outside.”

CRISTIAN ELSESER. Del Potro´s physical trainer.
He aspires to be number one
(first paragraph taken from a translation Willy Cañas made for a GM thread )
Juan is in the growing age, and the goal for this year is to develop him physically. The idea is that he becomes able to play 5 sets for many matches and with the same intensity. We intend to strengthen his lower body, develop his legs a lot, so that he gains explosiveness. Juan has been under treatment making his legs stronger since he was 11, because of his height. I think he will keep growing and this is the moment we can add things.
He started a serious preparation time ago, even with a nutritionist. He aspires to be number one. He has potential and a very good attitude towards work. He is a formula one: you have to take care of him, educate him, take him step by step, because he is young and the tennis player career is a hard one, in which the little details can make a difference.
EDIT: Willy Cañas translated the same part with Elseser in this page too
