Cheer hard on my behalf, I unfortunately have to run some errands halfway through the match so I'll be racked with nerves the whole time Hopefully he can take out Reeshard easily though.

Sad to hear that, Sue! Get well soon, but take your time.

Oh dear- don't think that way Just live clean; never smoke and exercise regularly. And be careful with sex. Really. Many cancers are preventable. There is just so much one can do as the rest are attributed to multiple co-factors. And as I tell many of my patients- live your life to the fullest.

Thanks Karin Part of it is the business of medicine unfortunately; the other part would mean I would need to pick up and go elsewhere. Which I am thinking of doing once my youngest graduates high school. The biz of medicine is everywhere in the states and it takes some of the enjoyment away but I can deal with that in my positiveness and honesty.

Yes I can imagine it being a very stressy business.
Good idea to take your job elsewhere as soon as you're able to.

Indeed you're positive enough!
BTW, I've always had this idea that burn-outs, depressions, etc. are so tough to deal with - you'd rather have a cast on your foot and get a certain arrogant SOAB of a player to sign it.

Fortunately it wasn't broke (or at least, not that it was clear at that time, despite a bunch of X-rays), just a heavy ripping/pulling of some ligaments apparently. The cast got put on because 1) for precautionary reasons, and 2) Doris wouldn't have been able to climb up and down the stairs at the venue in Rotterdam on crutches.
Very nice of the folks in the Rotterdam hospital, good decision!
(and we didn't have to pay a penny! )

She slipped on the station leaving her train at a change-over coming from the DC match in Fribourgh on her way to Rotterdam. Accidents happen, unfortunately, it was a bad slip, and she'll need a couple of weeks for it to properly heal.

It was very nice to hear Federer ask her all about where and when it happened, and he just smiled when he heard she'd got it while leaving from the DC tie in Switzerland.

How... arrogant.

It is very rewarding in so many ways.
They tested me if I had the same as my dad...and I dont... it still doesnt stop me from thinking I will get it too some day. I know because he had this it doesnt mean I will too.... He had leukemia and it was all through the lymph things (sorry...no idea what to call that ) Also some small thing which is behind your lungs and disappears when you get older, had started growing with my dad. It had turned into the size of an orange and had gotten all through his lungs...so nothing could be done..... He was 31 when he died....so Im already older than he ever was which is also a very strange feeling sometimes....

I dont smoke...hate it and I do exercise. Twice a week I go to the gym (if the winter gets a move on that is ) and every day I have to ride my bike 20 min in the morning and 20 in the evening for work....and I do not ride very slow

Unfortunately I am a terrible nicotine-addict.
The only thing which may well be able to help me quit (after some 120938741324 attempts) might well be the Keith Richards-approach (getting yourself shut up in some kind of castle for a couple of months) but unfortunately I can't afford that.

Sounds like you're doing well, Sjoukje!

Yes, it's true, if I ever meet Hwon Marteen in real life, I will ask for an STD report before I try any hanky-panky. Especially after the reports I heard about the woman who "bragged" in the national press that she slept with him after he won the USO
