Ok, I entered. Maybe I'll figure out later who some of these people are!
Ah, I am going to attempt to make something different for our work party on Friday. I am making the usual brownies, but I am also going to finally use my crock pot (had it for a year, not taken it out of the box) and make Little Smokies (little weenies). I was looking for recipes and it's like the easiest thing to make. Get two packages of the weenies and put in 1 bottle of barbecue sauce, let cook in crock pot for 5 hours. So easy that even I can do it!
I was also looking for something I can eat since I have to watch the gluten and almost everything else we are having has some sort of flour in it. I had an argument with my coworkers who were trying to get me to go to the hospital Christmas lunch. They serve the same exact thing every single year and I know the one thing I WANT to eat (chicken) is breaded and the roast beef they serve is cold and dry. I haven't eaten this lunch in years, even before I found out about my food allergy, so it's not like I was really looking forward to it. It's so frustrating that these idiots, who work in health care, can't understand that this food allergy isn't an excuse to not eat with them, it seriously messes with my life. I spent most of last night suffering from what I ate for dinner, so I know what I'm talking about.
