He won today 67(10) 62 76(4) against Gojowczyk on Italy F11 in Cesena... Ajde Nikola!

He's first seeded and will face Lorenzo Giustino who got a WC in R2.

Re: Nikola Ciric

Yes, a really good win. 16 points from the QR3 at roland garros, 4 for last week in Italy, and a minimum of 6 this week, I think he'll be into the top 190, and his highest ranking. He'll move up to 4th ranked Serbian player too, Bozo may drop out of the top 200, unfortunately.

No reason why he can't go deeper here though. I didn't expect him to beat Brands, and in straight sets too....

Re: Nikola Ciric

Those couple of qualifying wins for Roland Garros seem to have boosted his form. Another good win today against a higher ranked player, Luczak, 7-5, 7-6. Quarter finals yet, and a genuine chance maybe to progress to semis.

Re: Nikola Ciric

Great win He´s on the list for Nottingham next week aswell, but only qualifying. It all depends how it goes this week, but it eold be fun to see what he can do on the grass.

Yeah I saw that. Another win and he may well take an SE place. I'd go and have a look at him in Nottingham under usual circumstances, but i'll be at Queens club next week. I'll definately watch him in the Wimbledon qualies though at Roehampton. I've played on those courts, and they are QUICK!! Even I could serve an ace or two on those courts, and i'm awful!

Re: Nikola Ciric

Great win for Ciric- Monster today, 7-5, 5-7,7-5 against Janowicz, 7th seed! 2 seeds beaten this week, SE clearing for Nottingham, unless he withdraws, and a top 180 ranking place next week. Only 15 aces today though

Re: Nikola Ciric

Terrible draw for Nikola in wimbledon quallies, he will meet second seed Lukas Kubot. Hopefully Nikola have an amazing day with his serve, so maybe he has an chance. Bozoljac draw sixth seed Darcis, not an easy one their either. But hey? Who wanna face two big serves on grass?

Re: Nikola Ciric

Niko lost fairly comfortably yesterday, I watched his match, and then the end of Ilija's. Nikola put down a few big serves, but just not consistently enough, and never really got near Kubot. He moves very badly, especially on grass. Ilija was unlucky, went down 13-11 in the final set Only Krunic left in the girls section for Serbian qualifiers, and she has a very tough opener too.

Re: Nikola Ciric

What a win today over Simon Gruel for Nikola Ciric in Germany. Into the semi final, and another tough one against Andreas Beck. He needed this run though, he has a lot of points to defend from September onwards, so needs to bag a few now. 10 aces, and 78% per cent first serves in (winning 89% of those).

Great stats on clay.

Absolutely SwedSerb. Against a player ranked 70 in the world, this was an excellent win. double figure ace count as well. These results are so important for his ranking because he had that run at the end of last year and still has many points to defend from 2010.

Did you see his ace count in his semi final with Beck last week by the way? 23 aces in a 2 set match that he lost, on clay! Incredible....
