I don't think he will play in Athens.
He's on Baton Rouge and Houston entry lists (same week as Athens challenger).

Thanks.
Any chance of him playing the other Greek CH (Rhodes, week 17)?

Marcos Baghdatis Forever!

Through the good and the bad, always my #1, no matter what the rankings say

Doubt it...Week 14 he plays Baton Rouge, week 15 Mexico City, that's what we know. There's Puebla challenger at week 16 so I guess he will stay in Mexico (his coach is Mexican if I'm right?).At week 17 there is some challenger in Colombia which is near and even if he's not playing there weeks 18 and 19 holds some US challengers and he is Florida based so I guess you won't be able to see him in Rhodes...
Anyway, he is having 2-3 weeks off in total before Baton Rouge qualies (I guess he will play qualies) so I hope he is using them well, especialy working on his serve.I know I'm repeating my self but I'm sure that's what is keeping him from getting somewhat of a breaktrough. So keep on working on that serve Fico...

Re: Filip Krajinovic

Oh, I'm not going to Rhodes. I have school. And I'm in NY. I was just curious, because a lot of other Balkan players are playing them. But thanks anyways

Re: Filip Krajinovic

Just saw that Filip is on alternates list of Houston ATP at same time as in Baton Rouge. Also, week 18 is Belgrade tournament so we can expect WC there...

With those guys you never know but I hope it is 100% sure.
I mean who else would they give it to?
We don't have greater talent than him.

One could go to Ilija if he's fit til then.
The third...I have no idea.

Janko Tipsarević

Novak Đoković | Roger Federer | Marcos Baghdatis | Mikhail Youzhny | Andy Murray | Grigor Dimitrov | Juan Martin Del Potro

Don't ask me why. I have a bad feeling about Filip + Belgrade Open. I hope my feelings are wrong.

You shouldn't have, it would be disgrace if they don't give him 1 out of 3 wild cards...I mean who would get it?Pashanski?Give me a break...

Ok, nice .Btw, what do you think, what would be better for him at this stage, to play Baton Rouge and try to get some points or play Houston and face much tougher players? As much as I want him to earn more points I think it's about experience now and that's what he is going to get in Houston...

i agree. points are gonna come. experience is much more important. he has to play with strong opponents so that he can learn how to deal with them. i think of him as a huge talent and i don't think that he'll be playing challengers in two years. when his physical strength comes to a decent level, he'll be a top 100 player, at least.

Seeing him as solid of both wings (with some stunning BH dtl from time to time), he will have huge serve when he grows up a little more (expected to be over 190?) and gets stronger which already might be enough for at least top 100.Also he is very good at the net, nice touch and good feel when to come forward and already likes to finish points off there which bodes well for him.If he keeps on training hard, being commited to tennis and nothing unexpected happens I can see him inside top 50, but hoping for much more ofc .
But to add, in that match in Belgrade I saw some things that I didn't like, but will keep that for my self for now, need to watch him several more times to be sure...
