He also has a protected ranking entry into the Milan 30k challenger in week 24, so he's definately not playing Wimbledon qualies. Needs some points desperately this boy.

I know what you mean, but i think it's for the best. I went down to roehampton courts (the courts used for qualies) the other day, and they are quick. Like, really quick. Big servers will have a field day this year, I would have been shocked if Filip could get through them. If he can find some form in the challenger level, he could still have a reasonable US swing, and maybe sneak into the US qualifiers.

This week is becoming a good start though. Couple more wins would be good.

Looks like he lost the first set 2-6... QF is the most important round in Futures, if you lose you won only 2 points, but if you win you can gain really much.
