Well yeah, I think Djokovic is going to win it all. I'm going to be rooting for Murray though

Me? First, I'm kinda happy that Federer lost. I don't think he would have had good cards after 2 5 setters vs peaking fresh as a daisy Eggovic with special recovery pills in the bag. Imagine all the haters and Djokertards after a beat down final
i think, Murray has more potential to show up for a competitive physical match on sunday.
But If Nole plays like vs Ferrer its gonna be 3 sets to 0 me thinks. I can hardly think of a scenario were Andy wins, although I dearly hope he does prove me wrong.

Poor Fed, hope Nadal comes back soon so they can battle the Mule together.

Hmmm...interesting.
The bird, not the human kind. I thought oelewapper referred to this bird:

That bird is supposed to be stupid in Greek tradition. I doubt how that can happen since it is a close relative of owl, the bird of wisdom according to Greek tradition.

I would pronounce it as "Vike" with silent "e" at the end. (same as in "bike") As I saw, I would be wrong

Poor Stan He played lights-out and still lost. It is hard to see Djokovic losing now.

I like cats but prefer dogs. Newfoundlands are beautiful - big, furry, friendly.

I know! I'm glad he beat Kohlshreiber. I didn't expect him to beat Fed, of course, but he did pretty well this tournament.

Monsanto is awful. We're eating way too many GM foods and we don't even realize it. So many countries don't have any laws about labelling GM foods. This is something that needs to change.

This made me think of one of my coworkers this morning. He has a four-year-old boy who "wrote" a story about cars yesterday at school, accompanied by illustrations, of course. The dad, my coworker, brought it to work today to show us. His cars look just like penises with testicle wheels.

I'm not reading that thread but I can imagine what it says. I'm glad you made a distinction between nationalism and national pride. I have the latter and I'm good with everyone having that. The former, though, nationalism, can be scary. Look at WWI.

Awesome photos! Much of my continent is in a deep freeze right now. It's been much colder than normal this week. Today we got a little bit of snow but we haven't had much so far this winter. I've only shovelled twice.

We have that bylaw too. It's not easy to enforce and therefore often not enforced, but it's there.
