Anyone interested in women SF? me not.
I was interested in Sharapova losing. That's about it.
Now, tell me how you really feel, Bibberz. LOL
Do you see the double standard though? Teams let go of players even in the middle of their contracts all the time. I agree with you that he could have done a better job at announcing his decision to leave Cleveland, but that's not enough for me to unlike him. Everybody makes mistakes.
You do realize that there are guaranteed contracts in the NBA, right? When a team releases a player, it's still on the hook for all
of that money owed to the player. Then other teams are free to sign that player.
And, incidentally, no, players do not get released "all the time" in the NBA. Teams generally hang onto these players because they will have to pay them money in any event. Also, when players do get released in the NBA, it's often at the request of those players because they want to be free to join another team.
If you had said that teams "let go of players even in the middle of their contracts all the time in the National Football League
," yes, I would have agreed. Not in the NBA, though.
How do you feel about Barry Bonds?
Good question. I did not like him at all when he played. I didn't like him with the Pirates, and I liked him even less with the Giants. I was fine with him being brusque with the media, but he too often alienated teammates. I rooted for him to excel only because he was a member of the Giants. I totally understand why any non-Giants fan would dislike him and/or root against him.
Barry Bonds is far
more likable now that he's retired.
He always appears to be in a good mood when he shows up in the booth, and he occasionally works with our younger players. He also did this
, which was awesome.
