I don't know why one final warning - I wasn't a mod at the time that it happened.
The problem with this argument is that it means past behaviour is never an issue - people can keep committing the same action over and over again, and get the same outcome - a one week ban, for example, and then another one week ban, and then another one week ban...without some sort of a process that leads ultimately to a permanent ban, how do you tackle the problem of persistent lower level offenders? Without the threat that eventually they will be permanently banned for their actions, they can basically do whatever they like without worry - what's a one week holiday every now and then if that's all the consequences are?
A fair point, you need some type of graduation in bans.

I think you and Merton as mod-double would be the real deal.
I might stop posting here at any point, for any length of time and that excludes me from mod consideration. It would be unfair for fellow mods.
Wow Roddick is playing crap and is in a foul mood. A winning combination.
Andy should not have bothered coming here to begin with, just entering Rome and RG to remain match-sharp is the most he can get out of the clay season.
From Russell, on text: "You probably won't publish this as it's not pro-Trump, but he's anti-snooker. He's a glorified pool player going for every shot without a thought for positioning. It's just thump thump thump in the hope the balls go in. Comparisons to O'Sullivan are an insult given his cue control. Unsurprisingly I'm very much in Higgins' camp."
Even in snooker this sort of trash talking goes on
In chess too.
That's not democracy. NT is far from being representative of MTF, lots of posters don't bother reading there. Mostly you get CD and his sheeps or Nathii's droolers
unless you're looking for a NT mod only........
I find the idea of a democratically ellected Mod very good. Now, putting that in practice, i find it very hard to achieve ..... MTF couldn't elect a popular poster without falling in foolishness
The problem is that democracy will not work here, any type of balloting will inevitably favour the most visible posters. That has little to do with suitability to be a mod.
Again I feel an awesome sports night for me
cheater crapelonia will again humiliate RM and Canada will pound SUI... Why do I still bother following sports, I'm gonna take on chess, Merton definitely is the wisest
Thanks mate, you should have seen me cheering for Anand during the Topalov-Anand match
The correct player won there
An excellent question.
I hope Eva can be hired by UEFA, that way I might have a chance to tell some of those assholes what I think of them
That might lead to UEFA firing Eva, no?
Frank De Bleeckere will be watched by Pierluigi Collina himself.
circus this is turning out to be. Totally embarrassing for the sport IMO.
Just a question:
Is the official stance from the Real Madrid supporters that RM are choir boys, victims from The Evil Empire (a.k.a. UEFA) and Barcelona are the willing instruments of The Evil Empire?
A horror show overall, Barca theatrics and whining were annoying in the first match but so was Mou's tactics to aim for a 0-0 result. UEFA makes Tiriac look like a paradigm of the anti-corruption movement, but it would not make sense of their franchise to let one team dominate. In their minds, competition increases revenues, of course long term these horror show hurt the franchise but who cares about that
Still think that red card was excessive but not opening this discussion again
