I've been to the Memorial in Pearl Harbor. It was depressing indeed but interesting.

That would work well.

Don't worry about me! I just have a lot (a lot a lot a lot) on my plate.

Anyway, I came in to let Betty know that Olympia Le-Tan has made a purse (clutch) for her!

Chicago is a nice city to visit. I've never been to the aviation museum there; I'll add it to my list of things to do next time I'm there.

I would like to go there some day.
I've also been to the beaches in Normandy and the Memorial de Caen, and Anne Frank's House in Amsterdam. When I was 5 or 6 I visited a concentration camp in Germany.

I went to the Douaumont ossuary too and to a small village not far from there that was completely destroyed during the battle of Verdun.

Yup, I bought my laptop in France. Disadvantage of that is that it has a French keyboard and not a Belgian keyboard (both are azerty keyboards but a Belgian keyboard combines keys typical for the French language but also keys useful for the Dutch language).
In The Netherlands, computers have a querty keyboard and I'm used to an azerty keyboard so France it is for computer shopping.

Re: Tora! Tora! Tora! A Date which will live in infamy Rafachat vol.65

Ypres has the Belgian WWI museum (not just the museum, the entire region is impressive).

My home city will have a brand new Belgian WWII museum and it will be mostly a holocaust museum so bound to be very depressing but I hope that they manage to make it as impressive as the Ypres "In Flanders Fields" museum (that left me in tears when leaving it)

Which reminds me, they've started working on the new NATO headquarters in Brussels and in a matter of weeks, they've dug up 3 huge unexploded WWII bombs. It's incredible how they're still digging up bombs on a regular basis after all this time.

Bombs from WWII still found here too Hilde, in the fields, forests, at building sites.

It isn't uncommon here to find unexploded bombs from the civil war, earlier than WWII. Two months ago a child undug two of them just here in my local beach.
