Re: The Chat Thread for Drama Queens

Yes Betty, we bought another car last Monday.

Edit: Evita, it is not very common in the US for people to work while doing their MS/PhD. There are a few cases of course but its the exception rather than the rule. I guess that's why I assumed it would be the case with you.

Hehe Betty, good that you understood The programme I'm thinking about is actually a day programme, no lectures on weekends, but I'm sure I could figure something out.

I guess we have this system out of necessity, the government doesn't provide too much money for students and you have to live on something. And once you find a job, especially if it's in the same specialty you study, it seems silly to quit just so you can study some more even if you have some money saved

I wish we had that system. You either work or study - or study, take a part time job at godforsaken hours and exhaust yourself.

Re: The Chat Thread for Drama Queens

I vbet 40K on Djokovic and 60K on Nadal. I think I grew tired of having v-cash. I think poverty suits me better

Re: The Chat Thread for Drama Queens

Well, you won't get rid of your vcash by betting on Nadal Djokovic, now that's another matter. I put small bets on Nadal and Roddick, I think he's likely to beat Nole.

Re: The Chat Thread for Drama Queens

We'll see. I don't mind either way. Although I would like to see Nadal-Nole in the SFs

Well I found a dozen of the little bastards running around near my sink this afternoon.

I recently had some work done on the boiler and I suspect they've managed to somehow create a route into the place when they were doing that work.

I've put ant powder down and now I'm waiting to see what happens next. That could just be the spearhead of an invasion force.

Are the tiny little red/black ones or the big black ones? I don't know if ants in Britain come in other varieties Either way good luck dealing with that. It's probably easier than dealing with bedbugs so I won't pity you too much
