Prince Top Spin strings

I just popped my strings on Thursday and I am having the Prince Top Spins put in my speedport white mp. Anyone played these before or have any feedback on them?

Re: Prince Top Spin strings

its just a textured multifilment string. it probably won't last that long in your racket though

Re: Prince Top Spin strings

Why would you say they won't last long? I am finding that I am going through strings much faster than I did last year. I'm just curious as to why you would think so. Is it the racquet?

Re: Prince Top Spin strings

there are a number of reasons. firstly, 03 rackets eat strings faster than any other kind of racket. secondly, it is a soft synthetic string, so it doesnt have the greatest durability. thirdly, the more topspin you use, the quicker the string will break

Re: Prince Top Spin strings

Is that due to the floating strings and not being set into grommets? What is a good durable yet spinny string? I guess it is also personal preference also.

its basically due to the speedports that the strings break. if you want a durable spin string go for a polyester, such as pro hurrican tour. polyesters are stiffer strings which transfer less energy back into the ball. you therefore are forced into a higher swing speed which will generate more topspin. pht also has an octagonal profile, so it grips the ball better
