Re: What LEVEL at TENNIS are YOU?

when i joined my new club a few months ago they put me at 4.1, but now they had me play a 4.7 two days ago and we split a pair of 6-4 sets and i felt like i was in control, so i put myself as 4.5 on the poll anyone in connecticut around a 4.5 want to play?

lleyton hewitt - old stalwart still plugging away on tour
novak djokovic - righful #1, 5 GS and counting, and as always, leaving bad tastes in tracy austin's mouth
italian guys - forza azzurri, especially seppi and bolelli

all time favorites: juan carlos ferrero, michael chang and patrick rafter

Re: What LEVEL at TENNIS are YOU?

Was rated at 5.5 back in '97, but I'm a 5.0 at this point. Age catching up with me in the last couple of years.

Re: What LEVEL at TENNIS are YOU?

6.0, 6.25

I am around 3rd to 5th in Canada in the U16 division, but next year when the "older" players move up I will have a very realistiv chance of being 1st. I say "older" because in some cases a month might separate me and a player who has to play U18 next year. Ha ha ha, better for me though.

Re: What LEVEL at TENNIS are YOU?

i'm not really sure, u haven't really described the ratings(in my point of view) but my weakness is being at the net; volley and smashes aren't my thing. Plus slicing and lobs are another problem. any tips on slices and lobs?

Re: What LEVEL at TENNIS are YOU?

Well Im 15..started 4 years ago so Im a bit disadvantaged..uh...4.5 when I play to my ability..right now things are a disaster area, backhand is fecked up...used to be my best shot with the 2 hander but now a 2hander/one hander rsrsrs, forehand, serves and movement are my main advantages..

about a 5.0, would be higher if i had started earlier. main strength is atheticism and speed-in a straight line i'm faster than any player on the atp tour and that is a proven fact

Re: What LEVEL at TENNIS are YOU?

I put 5.0 because im closer to that then 4.5, I am a bit inconsistent especially in games, but my groundstrokes are better than a 4.5, my serve on a good day is way better on a bad day its about a 4.5 serve, my volleying is around that range too.

How can you prove that? Have you took the thousands of players and raced against them all or done speed trials etc??

Re: What LEVEL at TENNIS are YOU?

3.5 according to USTA (and hitch ). Just got moved up although I played 3.5 this spring (when 5+ months preggo).

Although I'm always looking for improvements (currently working on a slice serve and a one-handed bh), I am content with my place in life...and my USTA rating.

I love my girls.
