Why does my forehand keep going long the past few times ive played im hitting my forehand about 6-12" to long.

I switched from my old western grip to an eastern and it seems to be going alot better

You need to aim lower, and take some pace off the ball. This is typical of beginners, hitting the "home run" out of the court and over the fence.

Just practice on the small court... the service box. Keep it in their first, the drop your bombs on the baseline.
