Re: What should I be doing for fitness in tennis?

I just started jumping rope. Do 500 turns at the beginning of your workout and another 500 turns at the end and your calves will be stronger in no timeh. It's helped out my serve endurance immensely. It really helps my get up and over the top of kickers as well as penetrate deep into the court on flat serves. Best of luck.

I haven't found a strict regime yet . I do some running ' Medicine ball' for stretching . Weights ' quite a bit of work getting my back strong . This has improved my kick serve tremendously and I can get so much more variety due to having a more flexible back ! I am still learning thought what works . I have not really had a tired playing arm for quite some time although switching permanently to a two handed backhand has been the main reason . Just that I use two hands for groundies !

Eat healthy. Try insanity workout program or p90x, along with running and tennis training 5x a week. Swimming is good if you've got pool access.
