Anybody knows about the injury Haase inflicted in the 4th set? Was it his knee again? Is it serious?
Stephan!
Sorry to barge in but I like Haase a lot actually.
I hope it was nothing serious. When the physio came out after the 3rd it looked more like a lower back/hip issue, and when he kinda leaped reaching for the ball in the 4th set. It was hard to tell but I hope it's nothing serious.

Hey Maria!

I am afraid Robin will suffer another injury setback. Haase worked hard on his comeback and has the potential to become a top 50 player at least.
Luckily he is on court again, playing doubles with Thiemo.

17 (yes, yes, yes!) Slams! And counting....

I wanted to comment on the match yesterday but then I felt like I would just be talking to myself I was glad to see him play a good match especially on serve even if the serve faded after the third set.

I don't know if Haase suffered any serious injury yesterday. The treatment he got seemed mostly for his leg and ankle/foot. But during the match I also noticed him grabbing his lower back a couple of times which I also saw him do last week in Rosmalen. I hope none of it serious since he's just getting his level back up after his last injury. I guess he wouldn't be playing doubles though if he was injured.

Exactly. I was happy to see he could play.
Incidentally, Haase and de Bakker just won their first round in doubles!

Re: Robin Haase Cheering Thread

Robin continues on the right track, into the final in San Marino where he'll face Volandri. With this win his ranking should go up to around 106.

His schedule for the coming weeks next week vacation than a training week followed by challengers in Manerbio and Como. He'll be skipping USO qualies since he prefers staying in Europe and play on challengers on clay to improve his ranking.

hmmmm I'd have preferred to have him at the Open, qualification wouldn't have been a problem with his current shape and sth. like a 2nd or 3rd round would have boosted his ranking further
anyway, next year, good to see he's doing better again, good luck vs. Volandri

I agree that Robin should have been able to qualify for the USO and with a good draw he could have boosted his ranking more than just playing challengers. But I can understand the decision, he's doing pretty well in the clay challengers he's playing now. USO qualies would mean a long flight and change of surface so I guess it's not that strange a decision. I'm curious though whether he's going to continue playing challengers for the rest of the year or if he'll try qualifying for some of the smaller ATP tournaments in the fall.

Re: Robin Haase Cheering Thread

Haase def. Volandri 6-2 7-6, he made it more difficult than necesary in the second but he's won another challenger title and more importantly this result takes him back to the top 100 I'm not mistaken Way to go Robin. I have to admit I wasn't expecting him to make it back into the top 100 so quickly but it's great to see him back there.
